It is exceptionally quiet, offersa variety of cycles and has a conveniently removable 3rd rack. The dishwasher met the challenge of helping us prepare for and clean up after my daughter's wedding reception.
We washed 100 each of dinner plates, salad plates, water goblets, wines glasses, champagne glasses, and silverware both before and after the wedding. Sometimes the 3rd tray was included, sometimes items fit better wtihout the 3rd tray. Our family room is right next to the kitchen. The dishwasher was so quiet it did not interfer with conversation or hearing the TV. It's been the best buy we have made over the years for a dishwasher.

Love, love, love this dishwasher!!! It even dries the dishes-no drops all over the counters & floor! I always set the delay time to after we are in bed & never hear a thing.

I needed a white dishwasher and this was available. I was a little reluctent as I was unsure about the new drying mode (Crystal Dry). I should not have worried as it does a great job, especially with plastic storage containers.
So far threre have been no problems as we do about 10 loads per week. My sister-in-law loves Bosch dishwashers and hers lasted over 24 years and that testimonial convinced me to purchase the SHEM78Z52N.

This dishwasher is very quiet. Our TV room is just off the kitchen and we can only hear the dishwasher when it is emptying the water into the sink. We like the front facing controls and it cleans dishes very well especially on the heavy cycle. The installation instructions were easy to follow and I installed it myself with no problems. I would recommend this dishwasher.

We have had the 800 series model for a little over a month. It cleans great and dries even better. The 2nd rack is a little difficult to adjust up and down. It would be nice if all of the tines on the bottom rack were adjustable. Overall, this has proved a good buy.

It took a while to get this dishwasher installed but so worth it! This is our second Bosch and we do not want any other brand. Very quiet!

I am still getting used to this dishwaster. I like some features and dislike some. I like having the third rack. I like being able to open the dishwasher even when it's in progress. The one thing so far that I do not like is it seems to require a finishing product before it will run. I do not like finishing products--I put water in the container and it runs.

I love my new Bosch dishwasher, but do not understand why it came with black screws to hold the kick plate in place. I would appreciate it if you could correct this, it affects the whole look of the dishwasher!!! Thank you, Bridget Russell

We didn't think that it was possible to find a better dishwasher than our 17 year old Bosch. We were wrong; our new Bosch dishwasher has a better layout and cleans everything better! Thank you, Bosch!

Clean dishes very well. Drys dishes very well. Love the sanitize feature and third rack. However, for some reason, if yiu go more than two days without running the dishwasher yiu get a foul odor when opening up the dishwasher to place new dish inside. I can't figure out why this is happening. I've only had it for a month. My kirchenAide never did this.

I was seriously concerned about buying a dishwasher with "Crystal Dry", since I saw so many bad reviews. I don't know if some people out there just have a lemon dishwasher or what, but I simply LOVE this dishwasher!! After it is done washing, if it sits for an hour or two, when I open it, yes, there is a bit of a chemical smell. But it vanishes pretty quickly, so it is no big deal. The dishes are always clean as could be, and if we open it right after it is done running, yes, the plastic is dry and yes, it still has the chemical smell, but no big deal. The only negative thing I could say is that is many people say it is so quiet they don't know it's running, etc. No, I can easily hear it running, but it is not loud enough to cause a problem, so no complaint, just mentioning it. We have an older Bosch dishwasher at our other home, many years old, and it still works fine. But this new one I can adjust a bit inside, although I have not needed to yet. I highly recommend Bosch, especially this model!!

So we've only had this dishwasher for a couple of months and my past experience with almost every dishwasher I've ever used is that they're great when they're new. What I'm really hoping for is that with proper maintenance and care, this machine will last longer than the 5-7 years previous machines have lasted me.
That being said and done, as far as I can tell this dishwasher is delivering above and beyond every promise it made to me in its sales literature.
When it is running I sometimes have to put my ear up against it to hear it. It is super quiet. I've not had to re wash a single dish yet, and believe me I'm paying attention. After an investment like this I want to be sure I did not waste my hard earned money!
My family and I run this machine nightly, and twice on sundays. Every other Sunday I use a descaler.
As with all Bosch dishwashers (to my understanding) you need some customized electrical junctions to get it hooked up but the plumbing fixtures are all standard.
Time will tell on the longevity of this dishwasher but so far the performance is absolutely stellar
Yes, it looks good too. Not an issue for me as an engineer but apparently it's a big deal to my wife

I loved my first Bosch so when it finally quit working, the only brand I considered was Bosch. Love this model. So efficient and quiet and love the rack placements and adjustability. Bosch is the only brand of dishwasher I will ever own.

Extremely quiet and cleans well. Love the third rack and configuration of the lower rack. I do not like the design of the upper rack. I have tried several ways to load it - even using pictures in the book.

I did not quite believe all the reviews about how quiet the dishwasher was - but they are true. It is oh so quiet!!! And more importantly, the dishes come out unbelievably clean. Hats off to Bosch!!!

My old dishwasher (not a Bosch) needed to be replaced. After a fair amount of research and looking at different brands and options, I decided on this one. I am super happy with it! It's very quiet and dishes come out sparkly clean.

quiet. cleans dishes
some constructive criticism
1. Sometimes I forget to press start, after picking cycle and come back later to find dishes not done Perhaps a slight Beep or reminder or a fast button that automatically starts without selecting option.
2. some issues with trays, folding down parts can come loose and fall off. took some doing to figure out how clips go back in.

My husband wanted to buy a Bosch dishwasher! I thought it was way too expensive! I told my contractor for my new kitchen that my husband and I were at odds for a new dishwasher. He told me that after one use I will never want another one ! Both my husband and contractor were right! My dishes actually look new again! Great product!

This is an excellent dishwasher. We particularly like the top tray, where we place small flat items or large kitchen knives. We've had the dishwasher for over 3 months now and it gives us excellent results with every use. It is very quiet. When we turn it on, I have to place my ear close to it to hear it working. It replaced another Bosch dishwasher which lasted 12 years, so I am not at all surprised at how well it works.

We purchased our Bosch diswasher about 45 days ago. This machine has exceeded all expectations. It is incredibly quiet - I fact, I have to look at the lights to confirm it is running! It also does a great job on cleaning the dishes. I'm convinced Bosch makes the very best residential dishwasher on the market.
